Sarah Perkins is an associate in the Baton Rouge office whose practice focuses on healthcare, insurance regulatory, and administrative law.
Sarah advises regulated insurance market participants on licensing, regulatory investigations, statutory compliance, and enforcement matters under the Louisiana Insurance Code. She represents clients in administrative proceedings before the Louisiana Department of Insurance and the Division of Administrative Law and has successfully negotiated regulatory resolutions. She also monitors Medicaid policy and reimbursement developments at the Louisiana Department of Health, tracking rulemaking and managed care trends affecting insurers and healthcare stakeholders in Louisiana.
A registered Louisiana lobbyist, Sarah supports strategic policy planning at the State Capitol. She analyzes legislative and regulatory developments impacting the healthcare and insurance industries and engages directly with members of the Louisiana Legislature on legislative and regulatory matters affecting the interests of her clients.
Sarah has developed a focused interest in pharmacy law and regulatory policy. For several years, she has monitored and attended Louisiana Board of Pharmacy meetings, tracking rulemaking initiatives and enforcement trends affecting pharmacy stakeholders and related insurance market participants.
Sarah received her Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center in May 2022, where she was named the Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court Competition Champion and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a concentration in International Politics & Law and a minor in Sociology, from Louisiana State University in 2018.
