Experience Required: 10+ years in Construction Law & Litigation

We are seeking an experienced Construction Law Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a decade or more of hands-on experience representing owners, contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in all aspects of construction law — from contract negotiation and drafting to complex litigation and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Handle construction-related litigation, arbitration, and mediation.

·         Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and related agreements.

·         Advise clients on risk management, project compliance, and claims avoidance.

·         Manage a diverse caseload with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.

·         Work collaboratively with firm partners and clients across multiple projects and jurisdictions.

Qualifications:

·         J.D. from an accredited law school.

·         Licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana Bar.

Every year, we recruit standout first- and second-year law students to join our Summer Associates Program, and we interview seniors interested in becoming full-time associates with the firm upon graduation. Summer Associates Program

Offered to first and second year law students, our Summer Program is comprised of two six-week sessions. Because many of the Firm’s new associates are graduates of our Summer Program, these programs are designed to introduce summer clerks to the various aspects of the practice of law. Students participate in case law analysis and technical writing tasks, as well as in strategy sessions, depositions and hearings. Each student is assigned two attorneys to act as mentors to provide guidance, assistance and feedback throughout their summer session. Under the close supervision of partners and senior associates, summer clerks receive a well-balanced workload, which is intended to reflect what they will experience as first year associates in the firm. Clerks are also invited to attend various social events and luncheons allowing them to become acquainted with attorneys in the firm.

Bridge Fellowship Program

The program will allow second-year law students an opportunity to spend the Fall semester as a Law Clerk in the Baton Rouge office of Breazeale and the Spring semester working in-house with the FMOL legal department. 

The application process is open to second-year law students enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school regardless of race, color, religion, citizenship, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, military service, disability, or any other characteristic or condition protected by applicable law.

Eligibility

• Candidate must be a second-year law student in good standing with an accredited law school.

• Candidate must be available to work approximately 12-15 hours per week.

Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, L.L.P. has an immediate opening for a Marketing Assistant in the Baton Rouge office. Under direct supervision of the Director of Client Services, this position will support business development and marketing activities.

This position will:

• Provide administrative support to Director of Client Services and will assume additional responsibilities as needed

• Process expense reports and reimbursements and assist in tracking expenses

• Assist with sponsorship agreements

• Maintain inventory of firm promotional items

• Assist in recording pitch and proposal activity

• Pull together first drafts of PowerPoint and Word pitches

• Provide support for pitch, proposal and RFP projects

• Edit and proof documents
