IT Tech/Software Support Specialist/Trainer needed for our Baton Rouge office.
Experience/Background:
•Minimum 3 years of IT experience in a professional setting dealing directly with customer interaction/support. (Lawfirm experience preferred)
•A solid, demonstrable understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Windows 7/10 required. (MS Office Certification is highly desirable)
•Demonstrable understanding of basic computer concepts and general IT troubleshooting techniques required
•Highly experienced with various operating systems and databases
•Knowledge of VBA programming a plus
•Ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of personnel
•Some experience in SQL language for report writing preferred
•General HTML knowledge to assist with maintaining Firm intranet
•Knowledge of iManage/Desksite, eDiscovery software, and Word Perfect is a plus
•Must possess reliable transportation and have clean driving record
•Must be able to regularly work M-F, 8:30 – 5:00 and overtime as needed
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Responsible for new hire, individual, and group software training of personnel in use of all Firm’s systems and software applications
•Assist IT Manager with Systems and Network administration, end user setup, Desktop Support, Patching and IT Trainer to the Firm
•Enthusiastic about working collaboratively; excellent communication and presentation skills, pleasant demeanor and strong customer service skills
•Assist with various projects as needed
•Responsible for MSOFFICE template creation
•Provides Help Desk/IT computer support and on-call assistance when needed
•May be required to move/setup computers and monitors (up to 30lbs)
•Periodic travel to New Orleans and Monroe office required
•Identify and respond to the Firm’s training needs and initiate training accordingly
•Develop and maintain training curricula and associated materials
•Coordinate scheduling of training sessions, maintain training records, and prepare computer tips
•Assist with difficult or problematic documents and application files
•All other duties deemed necessary by Firm Management
•Reports to Information Technology Manager
