Breazeale Bridge Fellowship

Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, L.L.P. (Breazeale) has an ongoing commitment to excellence and to building a team of attorneys with a wide range of knowledge and experiences to better serve our clients and the community. In furtherance of that commitment, we are proud to offer law students a unique opportunity to develop their legal skills through the Breazeale Bridge Fellowship. The Fellowship is designed for second-year (2L) law students with a demonstrated commitment to their communities and the legal profession.

Our goal is to equip Bridge Fellows with the tools to become successful full-time attorneys by supplementing the academic semester with hands-on experience. The Fellowship gives 2L students an opportunity to spend the Fall semester as a Law Clerk in the Baton Rouge office of Breazeale and the Spring semester working in-house with a firm client—Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOL).

The application process is open to second-year law students enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school regardless of race, color, religion, citizenship, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, military service, disability, or any other characteristic or condition protected by applicable law.

Eligibility:

  • Candidate must be a second-year law student in good standing with an accredited law school.

  • Candidate must be available to work approximately 12-15 hours per week.

  • Candidate must demonstrate leadership qualities, academic excellence, and community involvement.
