BSW offers our clients with marine interests a broad spectrum of representation, including domestic banks and commercial institutions in connection with vessel financing and if necessary, vessel seizure. The firm also represents vessel owners and operators in negotiating and drafting charter agreements, sales/purchase agreements, and repair contracts. The firm assists its maritime clients with vessel documentation, marine insurance issues, maritime contract and charter disputes, and with environmental laws and regulations.

The firm maintains an active maritime litigation practice with experience in vessel seizures, the defense of personal injury and death claims, Jones Act, Longshore Harbor Workers' Compensation Act claims, maritime collisions, property damage, towage, cargo losses, and liability associated with offshore drilling.
