James R. Raines is a partner in the Baton Rouge office of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, LLP and is a member of the firm's recruiting committee. James attended Harding University, obtaining a degree in Psychology. He received a M.S. in Psychology and a M.M.F.T. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University, as well as a Certificate in Conflict Mediation and Dispute Resolution. James is a member of all Louisiana courts, both State and Federal. James practices in the areas of casualty, tort and insurance defense, with an emphasis on workers' compensation matters on behalf of employers, insurers and self-insured funds. He has also handled matters involving mental health law, including interdictions, family law, including complex community property litigation, commercial litigation, premises liability, landlord/tenant law, property law and contested successions.
