Timothy S. Mehok is a partner practicing in the area of Bankruptcy, Loan Restructuring and Commercial Litigation. Mr. Mehok’s practice focuses on corporate restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy and related litigation and transactional matters. Mr. Mehok regularly assists corporate debtors, creditors, DIP lenders, investors, financial counterparties, liquidating trustees, committees and other interested parties in bankruptcy cases, related transactions and out-of-court workouts. He also works with investors in purchasing assets from, or making investments in, distressed companies. Mr. Mehok also has experience representing parties in various commercial disputes involving contracts, loans, foreclosures, unfair trade practices and employment matters. He has worked on cases before several state and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Mehok received a J.D. degree, magna cum laude, in 2001 from Tulane University Law School, where he served as a Managing Editor of the Tulane Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. After graduating law school, Mr. Mehok began practicing law in New York City, where he worked for Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, LLP and Heller Ehrman LLP. He moved back to New Orleans in 2008 and practiced with a local firm prior to joining Breazeale as a partner in 2012. Mr. Mehok is a member of the Bars of the States of Louisiana and New York and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
