L. Linton Morgan, a partner in the Covington office, has been rated as an AV attorney since 1968. Representative Matters

Represented the State of Florida in litigation regarding offshore oil and gas leases.

Appointed Special Assistant Attorney General and lead counsel for the State of Alabama in litigation against the Minerals Management Service and U.S. Department of Interior for drainage of common federal/state reservoir.

Appointed Special Attorney General to represent the Department of Natural Resources and State Mineral Board of the State of Louisiana in collection of royalties.

Counsel to the Commissioner of Conservation of the State of Louisiana on selected issues.

Counsel to Department of Natural Resources of the State of Louisiana on coastal restoration projects.

Lead counsel for all banks financing the Louisiana World's Fair.

Lead counsel for Burmah Oil Company in construction of transshipment facility for oil and LNG in the Bahamas.

Counsel for Ashland Oil, Inc. in various matters in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
