Leo C. Hamilton was appointed to the Board of Directors for the LSU Alumni Association.

Leo C. Hamilton was honored by the A.P. Tureaud Sr. Black Alumni Chapter at LSU for his accomplishments and contributions to the university on November 22, 2013.Hamilton graduated from the law school in 1977 and served as the first black president of the Baton Rouge Bar Association. He also served on the Tiger Athletic Foundation and holds membership in several organizations in the community.

Leo C. Hamilton, a partner in Baton Rouge, received  the Louisiana Bar Foundation’s 2011 President’s Award in recognition of his outstanding support, volunteer service and dedication to the mission and goals of the group.

Leo C. Hamilton has been appointed as secretary of the Louisiana Bar Foundation 2010-2011 Board of Directors.
