Some years ago, I had the opportunity to join BSW as a Summer law clerk. At that time, I wondered what particular "type" of person was most likely to succeed here. BSW lawyers do share certain central values: a desire to provide exceptional services to clients, professional integrity, and unwavering dedication to the best interests of the firm and its clientele. However, it soon became clear that, consistent with those values, our lawyers bring to the table a remarkable variety of backgrounds, individual styles and diverse interests. In fact, one of the most often cited reasons given by BSW attorneys for choosing to practice at the firm is the dynamic of the people. We pride ourselves on recruiting and hiring individuals who enjoy one another and the pursuit of common goals.

Our clerkship program is the most significant source of our associate hiring. We provide what most law students value most: a diverse experience, tailored to the individual, with a realistic look into the firm through challenging work, practical training and many opportunities to socialize and interact with our attorneys one on one.
